Challenge

Generative AI is reshaping how content is created, shared and monetized. With that shift, questions of ownership and attribution have moved from theoretical to urgent. As content is absorbed at scale without consistent credit or compensation, tension is growing between AI platforms and publishers, while creators are left without clear proof of origin or value. ProRata was built to close this attribution gap. But despite a powerful mission and the technical creds to lead the conversation, the brand didn’t project the authority and sophistication required for a future where attribution becomes essential to law, commerce and reputation.

Insight

In a world where machines can generate infinite content, trust becomes the differentiator. Attribution is no longer a nice-to-have feature or a legal footnote, it’s the infrastructure that will determine how creativity is protected, how people are compensated and how AI earns legitimacy. The brands that win in this next era won’t just generate more content, they’ll prove what’s real, what’s original and what’s owed. If attribution is the foundation of a fair and transparent AI ecosystem, it can’t live in the margins. It has to live at its very heart.

Solution

We developed a brand identity built with the idea of citation at its core, positioning ProRata as the authority on fair and transparent attribution in the AI era. It began with a new logo that literally embeds citation into its structure, making the mission instantly visible. From there, we extended the concept into a flexible brand system using characters and citation marks to express stories of provenance, proof and possibility with a distinctive visual language that feels both technical and human. The result is a modern identity that signals credibility and leadership for a future where attribution isn’t optional, it’s essential.
